If you think about it... soon, maybe happening in the next generation or what comes after. Very much possible, although this might only be happening within cities. Other than that, it may all happen in the real world if selective breeding (and yes it's not just pets, as long as some one had a thought of "I want pretty girls", that's already the selective parts.) got that far.

Evolution sure is grim.
