This is just a personal opinion based on what i am used to. But when sorting manga in the drop-down menu you have options for rating, views, follows, name and so on, with triangles beside them.
I see those triangles as arrows pointing down or up (descending, ascending). from what i see when you select a upward pointing triangle which should be ascending it shows descending and vice versa.
this is the opposite of what should be shown. (<- this is opinion)
TL;DR Triangle pointing down is descending (Most -> Least), Triangle pointing up is ascending (Least -> Most)
