It better be something stupid like just put the noxious mire into your inventory.

Fun fact. Irl, mc would’ve just killed the entire village. You can’t give starving People food. It literally takes more calories to digest then they have and they’ll usually just die. The trick is to give them a very small amount of easily digestable food and work up from there

words on paper is pretty efficient. Other series would just have them rely on charades
In real life, but this is a fantasy world, instead of just being relieved of negative symptoms, the healing aura gave them energy, meaning they were gaining some calories while in the slime's presence. On top of that, they were basking in that aura for the hour or so it takes to make a basic stew.

maybe have the king slime drink/absorb it all and bring a water source from somewhere else lol.

Although it would be good if he 'worked together' with the others/villagers as opposed to "Bc MC is the protag, he'll solve it with his cheat skill powers"
My favorite answer to the "what to do with a toxic swamp" problem is from Reincarnated as a Sword, where Master and Fran looked at the swamp and basically said "yeah, no" and just sucked the whole thing into dimensional storage. They completely forgot about it until way later, when they were looking through said storage for water to cook with. After that, I'm pretty sure they purified it and made Panacea Curry.

Fun fact. With some water, especially stagnant water, both boiling it and filtering it can sometimes be not enough to kill off the bacteria living inside it. It's why you should never drink water that's not flowing.
yeah, theres a distinction between filtering and purifying. You can filter water and it would appear clear but totally unsafe cause of the microbes. One easy way to boil your water if you dont have a water container that can take direct heat like leaves, hides, or baskets is to heat up a stone in your fire and place that hot stone into your water container. This is one of the earliest ways we cooked food and boiled water theoretically it's neat stuff (and see that the water is "dirty" cause of your rock but it now should be safe to drink. Of course filter your water if possible first through wicking, condensation, letting the sediment settle or what have you before boiling it.)
