Was her waking up early the cause of this indefinite hiatus? Dang it Frieren just sleep in like normal please. We don't need growth when it causes the apocalypse.

Damn, if even Macht evaluated Phrase as a serious threat that's something interesting to look forward to I guess. Shame Glück didn't let them fight back then, would've been a great fight...

From my understanding, they're letting Glück go and have Denken escort him, to have leverage against Denken or at least keep him out of the way/busy?

Frieren's up early:
And those 4 (+1 Stark) playing (mage) house, reminds me of the Shadow warriors we saw recently, yet this household is on an
even greater power level :meguupog:

Thanks a lot for the upload and here's to hoping the hiatus won't last too long...

we saw Denken being a chad, so now it's his father-in-law's turn to be one. "y'all better give me death sentence", "me? a hostage against Denken? how about no", "i find out who's the mastermind even though you tell me nothing". dude was spitting fire after fire this whole chapter :kek:

I see. I dont get it. What does the Imperial gain by Glück admitting he was being deceived?

Probably just going for plausible deniability, and excuse to not punish him. Everyone knows it is fake, but considering how long the city has been gold they can just brush what caused it under the rug.

'Oh, he was tricked. Tricky people those demons back in the day before we knew better.'

And then make you can make him disappear and we can all say he was never seen or heard from again.

There are many who didn't survive "The Boat's" hiatus and didn't even meet the island.

Berkserkbros know what I'm talking about.
Mate... The longest Berserk hiatus was 2013/03/29 to 2016/06/24, or about 169 weeks. Beet the Vandel Buster began in 2002, ran until 2006, then went on hiatus UNTIL 2016 (520 weeks) for 5 chapters, then went on hiatus again until 2019, repeating this process until 2022. Sure, there's a damn good reason for it- the artist fell ill, and the artist and author are an inseperable duo so strong the author pledged that Beet would end unfinished without his friend, and it'd take as long as it takes, so don't think this is me whining about it- it's me bowing but not breaking under the weight of that wait!

18 years passed since Frieren last announced hiatus

Could be nothing.

From this episode, Gluck pointed out, their target is not him. They just want him as leverage to make sure Denken stay out of this.

But they don’t know how much Gluck knew and if he will be cooperative. So they arrest him under accusation of what happened to Weiss. It’s a good excuse to get a hold on him without revealing the grand plan.

Gluck knows though that this is just a farce. The empire prefers having him alive, he had been doing good job in Weiss. That’s why they offer him the very obvious free out of jail card: just blame it on Macht.

From the interrogation, they can see he has a good enough understanding about the situation and is cooperative about being used to keep Denken away from the capital (or at least he won’t resist). So they send him back to Weiss. He’s not a threat.

Last indefinite hiatus was around 1 month or so long.
Let’s hope is the same again.

I wonder why this subplot about a potential punishment for this guy is suddenly brought up, or maybe it was just an excuse to throw attention towards Denken, and how he is not fully trusted by either side, cause he has stakes on both ends.
Because the empire is literally using gluck as a hostage to tie denken's hands. That's why we need that whole conversation scene between gluck and the vice cap

Also cover page either she got an cataclysm dream, or someone sent a cataclysmic signal. Cant wait for after hiatus :win:
It's just an excuse to save gluck's life. They can't kill him now because they want to make him a hostage to stop denken's involvement
