lol the casualness of not wanting to be scolded by your superior
plus she climbs higher up on the chain when she prioritized the market place

I already forgot, why are we following this characters again and not the titular character?
because Frieren's arc concluded when she called Serie a tantruming little child to her face, and Stark/Fern have another 8 or more years to have their arc's cover
They’re the most popular in the popularity polls, only beaten by Denken and he had his own arc.
It’s how the manga industry works.
thats why theres the spinoff novels, not why the main plot is taking detours. I think anyone reasonable would never argue that Frieren and the Master of El Dorado wasnt a loquacious overinvestment of time and pacing, but at this point Freiren is now the Narrator and Audience Substitute. While obviously the fans might want Fern x Stark or Fern x Freiren, Fern's Romance is the metaplot that will progress at the same rate as they progress to Ende. Fern Afterall has become one with the path of the Murderhobo Elf.

Ubel operates on the perfect understanding of the physical world without knowing it's laws and with magic affecting the physical world at certain degree, those stated laws can be easily bend to her will so basically she doesn't need to know the physical laws.

Also, who needs emergency revive resurrection? I'm certain the hair pages can induce some damage to some.

Side effects include becoming the undead

People seem to dislike your comment, despite being a valid question.

And to answer: it is to "raise the stakes" by having the antagonists clearly able to win over a prior antagonist without too much difficulty, but removing all consequences by letting them still be capable enough to flee (also makes them still relevant in the power-scaling).

There is also the part where it seems people like the cutting girl, so author is probably giving some fanservice by giving a mini-arc to her and a ship for her fans to ship. And same for whoever likes intellectual twinks (or whatever the archetype was named) by giving the boy a mini-arc and a ship.

Finally, I think it is also meant to set stuff up for before frieren enters the plot, without having to exposition-dump all the events leading up to whatever mayhem she gets embroiled in, by "showing [the backstory] instead of telling".

Well, it seems that the secret police aren't so bad after all. They wouldn't let civilians die just to prevent mages from escaping.

Am I alone in saying I'm already tired of the super glowing spy ops government conspiracies arc? It just makes me want Frieren to just lay waste to this kingdom after the all good she did for everyone.
What do you mean you're tired? It's only been like 5-6 chapters.

Do people seriously want to see ONLY Frieren, Fern and Stark at all times?

Is it that odd there are other important characters to focus on too?

Many series have times where they switch focus to the supporting cast, its really not that weird.

I am kind of surprised this is even an issue. Two popular characters, in both the popularity polls, are being given focus, thats pretty normal. But even without that it was obvious the exam characters were going to be important moving forward like Denken, Methode, etc.

Wirbel is probably going to get his focus when we get to his region too.

some people sure seem to feel very cynical towards this series, i get being critical of an arc you don't care for but i certainly don't think that the author is just doing whatever they think would be popular without any more thought to it. people seem to get this way every time this series deviates from the status quo a bit

She mentions it at the start, that whatever magic they used on her before she got captured keep her from seeing visually and restrict her mana detection.

If you note her pupil at the end of the chapter, it's still got the same 'blank'-ish look, compare this to how it looks before she got hit with the spell and it's pretty safe to assume the spell is still in effect.
