I think your favorite trope is either too broad or too specific to make sense to me. Do you like time travel plots, memory to the past plots, something in between...? In any case, I agree it's a great twist and it's awesome we reached it when there's already a bunch of it written.

I predict that this is where they'll end season 2, and we'll have a Frieren movie to adapt the rest of the Goddess Monument Arc.

I hope not, since it'll be that much longer for me to see it adapted, but it tracks with how most anime production companies like to adapt their projects.
