idk, i feel like the kind of people who are strong enough to get through such an exam & have that as their guiding mindset are probably the exact kind of people you shouldn't be handing ultimate magics to lol

yep, i definitely don't like genau. denken is still cool, and richter is still a piece of shit. i like the whole "it's the journey, not the destination" attitude denken and frieren have towards magic. i guess it's kind of a microcosm for the larger story.

Reading the discussion threads every chapter on my re-read got me really confused lmao, since the last chapter had 160+ comments while this one had only 7.

Then I realized that the last chapter was the exact week that Mangadex got hacked, and the forum wouldn't be up until 20 months later T_T

Coming back to this after reading much more of this manga, it's interesting to see Frieren not only have confidence in the two girls in her group, but also that Richter won't kill them. Because knowing more about her full abilities she could easily defeat Denken and Richter, yet she doesn't. It really shows off her thought process and beliefs.
