"Where iz muh GlOriOus KaTAna???"

in a world where high quality iron are plenty, no one would bother making a brittle easy to break although sharp sword. one wrong swing (hitting a rock, metal armor etc) and its gone. reduced to atoms.

LH ever say they drop stuff? It just seems like they stop. They translate a lot of stuff. Feels more like a business model then a fan model. Stuff that seems fairly popular stays and they rotate in new stuff and see what sticks. I think this is fine.

This community has weird reactions to others translating stuff. So I can see how a lot of stuff gets buried by LH not posting anything. They put up enough series they could add an update page every few months.

Commercial district reminded me of Lindblum from FF9
Also, while it wasn't a perfect translation, it was still a very good one

guys! don't sweat it!
its understandable that you are upset about bringing "katana cliche" in a supposedly medieval european fantasy world, but think positively! thanks to that we got a few pages more!
well, its not like it wouldn't be filled with something more meaningful instead of that cliche thing. BUT! it could be a hint that mc will choose samurai trope and teach those barbarians about best swords and rice in the near future!

You did a better job with the grammar than some native english speaking translators. Seriously, this was very well done. The only short fall I found with the translation was the loss of emotion being conveyed in conversations/his thoughts. This can be fixed by swapping in context relevant words. (Would the character put it simply, or use complex words)

For a non native english speaker you did a somewhat of a good job with a few errors but still good and easy to read.

Also goddamn it I know he is a Jap but unless he has actually practiced with a Katana in his previous life then I hope the Author will get the guy something else. The whole Jap author meaning insert Jap culture doesnt work for me especially in an Isekai with European Medieval setting. Hell I am not even talking about giving the guy a longsword. Go find a spear, axe, halberd, sling, hell maybe even magic gauntlets that make things explode when punched I am sick of the Isekai Jap need Katana cliche. Get inventive with the Isekai a little and give the characters some interesting damn weapons other than GLORIOUS NIPPON STEEL.

I’m glad someone decided to pick up this series. And good job on translating. Any mistakes where not very noticeable, and the whole thing was very easy to understand what was being said. Good job! :)

@Dezaki

Was it ever mentioned that there is an abundance of high quality steel ? ( not counting "magic" materials who could have any number of awesome qualities for weapon crafting )
One of the advantages of folding steel is to remove impurities and a lot of people use that as the poster child for the greatness of a katana.
But if the steel is already of great quality it can actually make it worse instead.

And yeah a Katana sacrifice durability for extra cutting power among other benefits, so hitting armor or other weapons is generally a bad idea.
But i dont think there are much of any real life swords that can actually hit a stone and NOT get fucked up real good....soo yeah...
As for armor breaking, swords are terrible weapons against armored creatures in general... you want to use spears or blunt wepons to kill a armored opponent.
Only really good thrusting swords were used against armoed units as attacking the weakpoints of the armor with trusts could penetrate it, but you can NOT cut armor in real life.
That said for killing unarmed creatures like a goblin or other beasts that don´t have armadillo armored like hides Katanas would be a great weapon.
