Hi everybody

I have reported some chapters in the past for various reasons, such as duplicate entry, but mainly for pages out of order.
And most of the times, the "out of order" reports have been tagged as refused and nothing has been corrected.

So maybe there is a good reason has to why it's been refused, but to avoid to repeat this process, I think it would be useful to add in the "My Reports" page the reason of the refusal.

Planned future feature. You can ask in the support subforum if you have report-related questions for now.

If you report chapters as "out of order" without explaining what the correct order is, the mod looking at it will put some effort into figuring it out. A lot of the time the chapter is also out of order on the group's website (where applicable) and as we probably don't read the series, it's hard to figure that out.

Still needs to 100% be implemented due to staff being able to just remove your ability to report for any reason that you know nothing about. or wont let you appeal such removal of report perms.

mod note - merged duplicate thread

Why wait until after it has been rejected?
I think a help description [for each reason] or even mandatory information would help so much more.
Still now, its just a textarea below with "Additional description" - nobody is able to guess/know if/what needs to go there. Seems like the report system was rushed without thinking about UX.

Look at the group claim form for an example of requiring mandatory information; this does not stop people submitting random bullshit without reading it, and if people don't care enough to justify their report a prompt isn't going to make a difference. The report system has to be openended enough to allow an "other" response that doesn't fit any specific template to handle edge cases, and that enables terrible reports regardless of what you do with everything else.

You can't force people to make good reports.

What counts as mandatory info since I put information yet it got rejected when I made a report. In this case, the report was about a certain CG set's adaptations. The manga itself is an adaptation but the description speaks as if it is the original. I tried to report by stating how it wasn't the original and to state how it was based off a DLsite CG but that was rejected. I tried to add the LN to the list of versions in various media but it was rejected. Does the report have to be formatted in a way or does the info need to be anglophone friendly for some dumb reason? Since next time I'll probably cite pixiv wiki or JP wikipedia as well.

Ok but what are you trying to change and what does it need to be changed to? Just saying something is wrong is not enough in most cases. Your report should have gone something like
Description for this title is wrong as it belongs to the CG set found on DL Site (link to DL site). There is a more appropriate description that can be found at (link to place for better description)

tried to add the LN to the list of versions in various media but it was rejected.
Links to Light Novels/Anime/Other media formats should not be added to descriptions or added in the links section. Ideally they shouldn't even be mentioned unless it was included in an official description.

WHAT you want changed
WHY you think it should be changed
WHAT it should be changed to

Including links to retail store listing, author/artist/publisher social media posts, etc. is encouraged because mods don't have time to track down claims made in any given report.

Ok so the issue is that other media formats ARE in the description of the manga adaptation of Sakusei Byoutou.

Maybe I should have also asked to put in an adaptation tag for both all ages and the adult version.

I am waiting for the CG set format tag to exist before I try to upload the CG to MD as a title so people are aware.
