It doesn't really matter much, but the statistic in the title (99.992%) is different from the one in the text of the issue (99.9992%).

I assume there's an error somewhere.

Otto died over a decade ago? Is that referencing the comic storyline around the time of the Clone Saga where he died and became a digital version of himself called the Master Planner or something like that, until the lady Doctor Octopus downloaded him into a cloned body?

No, this manga is treating the Superior Spider-Man pre-amble (when ock was dying and was sealed in a metal coffin) as happening the same amount of time as it did irl-those stories WERE a decade ago for us, even if they were just like...three years or something in the sliding timescale.

resurrected octopus in a decrepit near zombified body, versus two other versions of octopus, one in a cloned peter parker body and the other a consciousness inhabiting the body of a japanese little girl? Man, they really nailed how convoluted comics get, in a manga, and in less than a hundred chapters. Props to them

Wait, then shouldn't Peter Parker's mind be in the corpse that Across has revived?

Honestly, that's what drew me to MHA and then Ultimately (heh), to Vigilantes which Betten Court also did. It's fucking peak.

WELLLLLL.......
They seem to have used some of the Miles Warren style clone tech, or-like how it ended up with Superior Spider-Man-there was still the "real" Ock in the body that wasn't overwritten by Peter's personality.

If the current world population is about 8 billion right now, thats about 6,640,000 survivors compared to 64,000.

A pretty big difference in survivors for a single digit miscalculation.

My read is that this isn't Doc Ock's truly original body, but the clone body that was created when
used Jackal tech to resurrect a whole lot of dead people from Spidey's past. Otto then abandoned that body to become the Superior Octopus.
