Unfortunately, this manga is for specific audiences only. You can't get to the good parts unless you learn to just accept the potty humor and move past it instead of complaining about the whole thing being "bad" and "soulless". It's for young kids, it's gonna make some awful jokes and you just have to deal with it. If you can't handle that, THIS IS NOT THE MANGA FOR YOU. Leave it be, let other people enjoy it even if you don't.

If you like Splatoon and can handle Goggles' pantsing habit and his love for horrible puns that tend to get lost in translation? Great! You get to enjoy this great and well fleshed-out story of the Splatoon series, covering not only the story mode parts but also frequently having arcs set in the normal multiplayer mode of the game. Much like the real game, it can get darker than you'd expect (If you already know about the Octo Expansion DLC's story, it never gets darker than that. If you don't, look into Kirby final bosses like Marx, Magolor, Sectonia, and Fecto Elfilis. That should give you a good idea of the upper limit.) but it never strays too far from canon (well, except for the Shadow Inklings arc. That one was completely random and fully unofficial.) and it's great for fans of the series.

Essentially, just don't be like Commander Tartar and let people be dumb and immature if they want to, and you'll be fine. I hope you have fun in the stupid, stupid world of Splatoon!
