This MC literally saw, several seconds ago, that this dumbass "ex-teammate" thug gravely injured his friend and even tho he is having a sword stuck into his gut still have a gall to belittle and threaten the MC. His ex-teammate only start to "be sorry" when it finally hit him that he might die.

And this MC thought that by healing him, he will suddenly do 180° and become a good citizen? The man that have ego bigger than his brain, that doesn't even knew he was outclassed by MC even after seeing his butler got beat up while MC wasn't even out of breath?

If the ex-teammate does not get any consequences after this (got jailed, "healed" but with caveat, got his fame stripped, what have you), I might just drop this manga. Its just painful to see an MC this dum.

I am impressed at how bad this is. By the fourth chapter I was reading it the same way I watch a car wreck. I can’t think of anything in the writing with redeeming value. Every trope, all of which are included and all of which the author is playing straight, is implemented badly. The plotting is horrible. The characters are flat or flat and unlikable. The main character is written with no semblance of human emotional intelligence, dignity, or drive.

I am amazed this exists, even considering the ankle high bar for LN adaptations. The Japanese market for regurgitated fantasy dross is phenomenal. The artist deserves better.

I would normally never make a post like this. Who cares? But I’m just that impressed. You are the other pedestrians I have turned to so I can discuss the car wreck.

"Revenge" stories have gotten weaker; they cast him out, "killed him", beat up and probably planned to rape his new girl, and after a little handshake its all over and he's already let him go without worry. He could hurt him and heal him over and over without it being dangerous at all due to his power, but instead "Oh no I wouldn't want to do any more than this"

There is one saving grace for this manga. There being next part or worst case next chapter - where the bad guy shows his evil true colours and instantly attacks MC after he healed him, to which MC responds with fucking his shit up and not healing him up.
