finally a mc that will have to act or face consequences?
My main problem is he's supposed to be an adventurer. It's not like he hasn't killed before, and with every other depiction of Adventurers in media, part of their job is also capturing bandits. So him being so adverse to killing that he lets known murderers walk away is a bit too naive to make senseHim being hesitant to kill does make sense. Soldiers are trained to be as desensitized to it as possible and even they have trouble with it. His "they can atone!" mindset is incredibly naive though.
I have a bad feeling that Nenemoa will be dead or very close to it, breaking his mentality on killing. Hopefully he's able to save her, but that dream was pretty brutal for it to not be foreshadowing
Yeah, I'll give you the adventurer bit, but also remember that he was a (not very good) healer (iirc, there's a lot of these abandoned by your party and I haven't seen him do any healing lately so I can't remember lol, I just know he was a back liner). So he probably didn't have much actual combat experience. Being in a party where things are killed and being the one doing the killing is a bit different. My main problem is he's supposed to be an adventurer. As for Nenemoa, her owner is shown to have connections to some sort of evil laboratory, so if she IS alive when he finds her, it won't be long before she's either dead, or turned into some monstrosity.
Since when does being an adventurer in this manga mean he has kill people? He has killed monsters yes, but that is very different thing from killing another person. That isn't in the job description of one in this manga as far as we know, so that's a poor argument saying its a part of his job for him being unwilling to kill people. I do agree this trope can be tiring but here it at least makes sense and if this chapter is any indication he himself realizes he may have no choice later down the line. So him refusing atm isn't a bad thing. My main problem is he's supposed to be an adventurer. Aww, c'mon. There's a space, the forums shouldn't have pinged me for this one!Author could have skipped the whole scene and just put a margin note next time MC forgives the wrong person: "I know, don't @ me"
Well, MC is ranked 1 in terms of white mage, ordinary white mage can only increase healing rate of a person, while MC can regenerate damaged tissues of a person (with the price of exhausted his aura). He have actual combat experience, that's why to compensate his weakness, he learns a lot about monsters mechanic etc to make sure the party can return unharmed (or at least minimize their damage) by rarely uses heal.
