why is batman making a cameo?
Yeah, somebody could explain better the reason of the war, who is in it and in which country is the blue carp town. It's badly explained in the story, because 1) it's always a few small cases with mainly texts explaining the whole situation
2) there is a lot of things happening (it's not just "country A attack country B")
3) the names are confusing for westerners (it's either chinese names heard for the first time (not introduced before in the story) or names too general (imperial army, divine guards, dragon guards, and whatnot. You could replace guards with palace and you would have a chinese restaurant)

@Genoshock @Ovnidemon Well, the reason this civil war started was probably because the North Guardian Lord's Mansion rebelled against the Emperor because they were doing evil shit, like abusing their power and whatnot, and because of that many other factions started to "participate" in this civil war as well, "raising their flags" if you will, and now the entire Zhou Empire (the country's name I suppose) is in a state of chaos and here we are, with MC increasing Blue Carp Town (his home) in both offence and defence to survive this period of kill or be killed, not that's it's different from before however, just worst than the usual survival of the fittest

@StarGasm you missed one part, Many City lords and other regional lords are also using the war to go for a land grab to increase their own power and standing in the post war nation.
These lords are not necessarily on anyone's side but their own and may just attack a place because they wish to take it over or have an old grudge they seek to settle.
Other wise you did a good sum up of it.
And if anyone has issue following this series then good luck because its one of the easier to follow story's in this genera.
