@jak: you're asking for a huge spoiler here. Go and hunt for the book if you're interested. We are getting to home stretch though: Chapter 26 / 29.

Another thing that the manga kinda glimpsed over was that Thane's armband is the following Jelucani (Ciena's) practices for mourning, and that when this event happened, it was NOT a full year yet (minor plot point for the next major event that happens, which does happen a full year after Endor).
