If this school is anything like every school I know, then all the kids are from the local area and know eachother since kindergarten - except for Kaede! She transferred in in chapter 1, so she doesn't have any real childhood friends in the area. So she cheated in the race, and everybody knows it! Dun dun DUUN!!!
