I think the Japanese mod that adds in mechs is stressing my game out and making it impossible for me to run the game for more than anywhere between 25 to 30 ish years past galaxy generation.
eh, personally not really my style but from what I've seen, it's how alot of people's game always end up.

next DLC dropping in a few days. I've already started to contact multiple people I know of and asking them to join me for a big multi-player game.

Does the psychic path still basically end with following one of the Chaos Gods from Warhammer 40k?

pretty much. although the DLC has hinted at you being able to forgr your own path and you do have some other gods to choose from.
even an entire origin centered around the end of the cycle.

I wish I could've refunded the game, when it dropped warp and gates as ftl options for the boring hyperlanes. Wasn't what I bought.

considering the AI and a game balance perspective.
it's probs a good thing that it's no longer an option.

seen a few mods that touch on the fleet-building aspect of the game. seems to mostly be about bith reducing the naval cap and increasing the cost of the ships.
one of the mods also gave more slots to the ships and overall, also made them stronger.
