the authors themselves put explanations on the spaces between the panels so i guess it's inline with the author's intention but i get where you're coming from. i don't like it either when the pages are littered with crap that's why i delete the unnecesarry magazine stuff beside the panels.
the next chapter is almost finished, but after that i'll put everything at the back and we'll se how it will work out.

Oh, I had no idea it was like that originally too. I do find it pretty distracting, but at the same time I understand wanting to keep it authentic to how it is in the raws, so it's a bit of a dilemma.

I don't really understand the previous group's logic for dropping it. Yes, there is an official English release now, but that's going to take years to catch up.

We were going to take years as well. With the series having 5 more volumes after this one, it would've taken us probably 4-5 years to finish with the pace we were going at. With Viz's current release pace, they will have finished releasing the series in English by then as well and probably sooner than we ever would have. It was going to take about an equal time either way, so we would rather spend our extremely limited time and energy on other series.

Why do people always just glaze scanlators that pick up dropped series' without actually valuing the quality of the TL? This was absolute ass; way too many terms went untranslated in favor of TL notes, punctuation was super shoddy, there were grammar mistakes and just basic spelling mistakes... I mean, it was just unbearable to read.

Like, I get that translating/typesetting is hard, and I respect Wakka's effort, but that it's hard isn't cause for celebration on its own. That's like if I went to a mechanic with a busted engine and he went "yeah I couldn't fix your engine, but... I fixed your tail light!" Like, cool, I'm sure that required labor, but you're still a mechanic that did a shit job.

man, you forgot to mention that the redrawing sucks too - because it does too,
but while you pay your mechanic for the job nobody pays for this, so this is what's possible right now.

People would rather a running, if messy, car than nothing at all
