Since the three of them are girl this dont make much sense. In Japan like most western country good father are often way too sweet toward their daughters. That's what paternal instinct is, you're strict but still give all the attention your kids need.

Maybe this doesn't apply to the Succubi community? In the Succubi/Incubi traditional roles, mothers are usually caring and fathers are aloof.

Well, being confrontational and being able to stand up and move forward/catharsis aside be amusing if the other succubi just got rid of her for him or so lol

Although other than her being ended up some kinda beggar in debt or so i imagine onii-san moving away wouldn't let her know his address and such, if the mom didn't fully abandon him at some point (because while it's not impossible, if you're an adult and able to move away from an abusive parent hopefully they wouldn't show up again esp since if it's an apartment a neighbor could see and report them versus just a home life a kid can't talk about/run away from)

Orphanage comment aside, i would've assumed they'd be raised as a collective or so, bc outside of 'retirement' and keeping up with the population, idk how many succubi would wanna have children outside of like just having a fave 'human' and settling down

This is true. I might not be the most resourceful, but even I notice this. For whatever reason, some manga authors think that trauma or le "sad event but with depth" is one default way to build a strong character backstory. I'm not saying they are dumb, cuz' well they made a story a the end or the day, but your point still stands.

I don't think that this is the only way to make readers empathize with the MC and/or appreciate the fluffs. But hey I am not the author soo..

Using trauma to build a character is not necessarily a weakness.
Sometimes it's about sending a message.
In this case its on theme
