Your take on this is pretty good since this is like "I love Amy" rated M instead of PG-13. The only difference is what they're hyper-fixating on to fill the void of happiness and why.

its really difficult for two people who have been through such traumatic events to come together fully. its tough when you just have one even, they will hurt each other but its through that a real bond comes together

The pacing of this feels way too fast, I don't feel like I know these characters but I only know their traumas. I understand why both of the girls do what they do, given how their lives have gone so far, but so much happened in these 4 chapters alone that I don't feel connected to these characters
Other than that, the premise so far is really neat. I'm a sucker for characters helping each other better themselves and fight their demons
