better than the one guy being alive and still tormenting them, but i just meant in the context of this manga i'd assume they wouldn't rly be hassled by the other prisoners but idk if the 'prison shanking' is an international thing versus just a western stereotype, they've already survived shitty situations so far, even if it's 'bad', as far as punishment goes it could be worse like him having yakuza connections that'd get 'revenge'. (apparently there are ppl committing small crimes on purpose to go to jail so they can get fed and somewhere to sleep so i guess it depends on a case by case basis)

The funny thing: They likely could've argued self defense from the word go. While we know he wouldve roughed up Marie as he has done Aki, understandably, she'd see it as a life threatening scenario, so self defense could apply I feel.

Hiding the body prolly wont help their case, but the likelihood is, assuming best case, its probably probation. Now? Yeah they're getting familiar with Gianna in prison.

Yeah to argue "self defense", they would have had to call the cops as soon as the man went down.

Kinda went out the window when they executed him and chopped him up. + self defense gets a lot harder to actually get approved when a party ends up dead, its a messy scenario all around.

The biggest problem is Marie is trying to fabricate a story on the fly. What Ali will do we have no idea but considering the theme of "following her own wishes" I don't see her immediately sacrificing herself to the investigation.
