honestly i think the comments written as this manga was just starting to release are giving it a bad rep. it seems thoughtfully made and does contain actual yuri. i understand why people seem a little cautious, given manga/animes not so stellar history of yuribait and pretty bad queer representation, but this does look like a promising gem so far!! (as of january 2025 but i dont think its potential will change) the arts really pretty too. i'd definitely recommend any lesbians into the horror genre to check it out <3

idk how to feel about this one. i feel like the two characters could potentially have a really cute relationship and i love the dark parts of this including the backstories though i worry based off other comments and after the chapter shirohebi's wish that the yuri will just end up being for fanservice. personally for me it's hard to say at this point i just wish there were more chapters especially because i love aki and mari's personalities and dynamic and i really wanna see more of them. i also just love really dark stories in general so i kinda have high hopes

From the recent chapters for this series (the English translations are like 4-5 chapters behind), I can say that Aki and Marie's relationship is not yuri bait and is actually developing. Please don’t listen to what the negative comments on this discussion say about Sugar Girl Drip, especially from Manko-sensei. They haven’t actually read the manga past chapter 1 and just started making shit up about the series.

Damn... chapter 11 is pretty raw stuff, really makes good on the core theme of two traumatized people finding each other and supporting each other.

In another story I could see that bath scene being intended as titillation, but that genuinely felt like two people letting the adrenaline wear off and just needing some human kindness once the stress caught up.

i really like this so far. the yuri is def there and explicit but it is a violent comic like a revenge type thing. the abuse hasnt been made to look sexy imo

there IS a trend in WLW/Yuri/Lesbian media where the gay stuff only happens after the women experience violence, and it's like they're "turned gay" because they were abused by men. But even before marie discovered everything i thought she was having feelings though maybe not explicitly romantic so I don't think it's like BECAUSE of the stuff with the manager that they are attracted to another woman. its trauma bonding n such i guess, i feel like that in and of itself is a trope that happens with any gender combo. the going thru similar traumas in the past &/ having to cover up a murder of a total POS thing. hopefully that makes sense lmao. anyway really good comic so far

omg yes it felt very tender! and sad too of course. it may lead to intimacy but i wouldn't be surprised if marie barely makes it to bed after the bath from being so exhausted from the come down.
i also am appreciating how the theme is being shown it feels very real from my personal experiences (tho not extreme like what they're goin thru)

Don’t listen to the comment posted by someone. This is a really good yuri so far and they’re not straight women masked as yuri or whatever tf. This is a good read about two traumatized and mentally ill girls that overcome the most gruesome of situations together. Their chemistry is through the roof. I don’t even see them as toxic yuri either.

Also that other commenter assumed straight men cant write good yuri which is obviously completely wrong and stupid to say considering they also assumed this was written by a straight man.

Anyways I love this series, 10/10

Everything after the 2 year time skip feels so fucking weird to me...

I assumed that the 2 year time skip was to make it so that their relationship progressed without having to draw it, but you're telling me that they NEVER STARTED DATING? WHAT WERE THEY DOING FOR 2 WHOLE FUCKING YEARS??? YOU'RE TELLING ME THAT THEY LIVED TOGETHER FOR 2 WHOLE YEARS WITHOUT DOING LITERALLY ANYTHING FOR PROGRESSION?

All 3 of the side characters also just show up out of nowhere for the sake of plot convenience, apparently they haven't even met that one loli for a while (even though she was Aki's only friend?). Who even gives a fuck about any of the side characters anyway? It's not like they're even enjoyable to follow. I end up just having a dead-pan expression whenever they do literally anything.

And why the hell would the police also only be investigating after 2 whole years? Why would it need to go viral just so that the police start doing literally anything? Shit wad just being publicly published on YouTube, zero reports happened over the span of 2 years? No one went in the murder room for 2 YEARS AS WELL??? There was just a fucking surveillance camera the ENTIRE TIME? And you're telling me those two did all that disposing the body shit and cleaning, and they DID NOT CHECK FOR HIDDEN CAMERAS?

It feels like everything after the time skip just doesn't make sense to me. I would've deadass liked it more if they got ARRESTED, because then you could say that they would be paying for their sins. It doesn't feel real at all. They were being investigated too, how the fuck did they even manage to leave the country?

I'll continue reading it since I do like the premise, and the two main characters are also very nice the follow. I just feel like the time skip was a horrible choice for the story as a whole.

the 2 year span feels kinda weird and a bit out of place, especially with how the police only intervened after the snuff film going public, and how nobody ever found the managers secret room,,, i also wish to know more about the other characters, but oh well
