@Zephyrus
Thanks for your advice.
First, I'd like to say I have no idea what the "rules" are.
I've never read them, they're not available from the main page, and today is literally the first time I've ever been to these forum threads in the year-plus that I've been reading on here on almost a daily basis. How could I have possibly agreed to follow the rules if they've not been made available? Until today I didn't even know rules *existed.* Moderators being smarmy about "the rules" seems like pretty silly behavior if you can't even be bothered to make them easily available to users.
Suggestion 1: Put a link from a main landing page and/or comment sections to said rules.
Part 2: I've heard on the grapevine that jokes about sexual assault and rape are forbidden.
Suggestion 2: In a website where there are literally dozens if not hundreds of manga being posted that feature content such as rape, pedophilia, murder, sexual assault and so on, some quite explicitly, having a rule that says "no jokes allowed" seems, uh, poorly thought out. How in the world can it be MORE appropriate to HOST CONTENT with these very themes - and indeed, this site literally hosts manga wherein the characters MAKE JOKES ABOUT RAPE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT, but the users themselves are forbidden to do so?
The irony of people using the report button to complain about a mild joke about sexual assault while READING A CHAPTER OF A MANGA THAT MAKES A SEXUAL ASSAULT JOKE is so thick it leaves a metallic taste in my mouth.
Therefore, I propose:
So Suggestion 2: Users can discuss, talk, joke, etc, about any content allowed on the site. If it's appropriate to host it and read it, it's appropriate to talk about in the forums.
