[MEGATHREAD] Tags Suggestions

This thread is for suggesting and discussing new tags to be implemented in MangaDex. To suggest a new tag, please follow the guidelines below.

Guidelines​

1. Your tag should cover a general theme or concept that applies to a wide range of content. Give as many examples of content where your tag can be added as possible.
2. The tag should be clear, simple, and unambiguous. Tags should serve as objective descriptors.
3. If the meaning of a tag can be conveyed by another existing tag, don't propose a new tag just for the sake of variety. Take a look at our Tags Definition. Ask if you're not sure.
4. Provide a detailed explanation of the tag's purpose and the type of content it is intended to categorise.
5. Avoid tags that are too vague, as they may not effectively categorise the content.
6. Use consistent terminology with existing tags.
7. We won't accept tags promoting content that goes against our rules.

Below is a list of suggested tags that link back to the comment where they were originally mentioned. This is not a list of tags that we will add. Only if the tag meets the previous requirements, it will be added to the list.

I think the most basic tag that should be added is and will continue to be female and male protagonist. Why I don't mind reading either protagonist. I still prefer reading from the woman's perspective personally. But I know a lot of people want to read from the guys to. And some stories it doesn't matter either way. But it really is odd we don't have these tags.

There's a ton of good ones as well that should be added. Just to help you find those hard to find stories. That fit the rich your looking for.

I am creating this suggestion topic, so people can make a list of possible useful tags and maybe explain your reasoning (there are a lot of tag topics, this would be one to generate a list).
My first suggestion is age gap, my personal reason is that I don't like romcoms with an age gap when it's a minor and an adult (I don't care if it's two adults thought, like Super no Ura de Yani Sū Futari. But I don't know if it is possible to make two different tags to separate both of them) If anyone else suggests other tags, I will create a list and keep updating this topic

Taken from EHWiki's definition of artist CG (in the Gallery Descriptions)
Artwork sets without panels, often made digitally. Typically in color and with more detailed backgrounds. Must depict a sequence of events (or be either a variant set or artbook) AND must be sold / distributed as a whole.
Obviously I removed the word "pornographic" from the beginning since I want a label to encompass CG sets in general.
This basically includes literally anything Zurikishi has made, the 1:39 comic, those 1 page twitter comics without panels, just all that panelless stuff where the only change between pages is just a character model being moved or text bubbles.

also this is a bit random but general loli tag or editing of the loli tag, so it dosnt have to be suggestive or higher rated for loli, beacuse sometimes i want wholesome loli things, and i cant find them 😔
[here is an example of the mc constantly being referred to as a loli and it having loli in the description, yet not tagged as such due to it not being suggestive+]

I have made a thread in which I shared a list of non-h futanari manga I and others have found, feel free to check it out. At this point in time the list is a bit outdated due to no longer being able to update it with new titles but there is an updated list on discord.

I second the need for a "Childcare" tag. Even the MCs reincarnated/isekaied in a novel's world often refers to the book genre as such. Yes, sometimes romance or other genres are mixed in, but if the MC main motivation is taking care of a kid and the main focus of the story, that should have its own tag. Instead, we have to search for combinations of "drama", "romance", "slice of life", "isekai", "reincarnation", "villainess", and sift throught the results.

I could find a dozen more in the 700+ titles in my librairy, but since they're not tagged "Childcare", that would take too much time.

Accidentally starting a “”romance”” manga where there is 0 indication of the story involving that mindmeltingly disgusting awful dogshit legitimately ruins my day and has done so multiple times. As other users have said it is a core component of some of the lowest rated manga on the site. I’m not the only one who hates it. My day has just been ruined by a “romance” tagged manga, with seemingly good art, a basic description giving NO HINT at the garbage within, and oh, yay! 20 pages in, the story takes a sharp turn from “decent but generic romance manga” to “Its Cuck Dogshit”. Devs i am begging you i need this stuff out of my sight. I have been a victim of it one too many times
