Well at the very least it does seem obvious it'd be her 'choice ' to have a funeral/letter reading as opposed to her having a terminal illness. tho hopefully she comes to terms with living rather than something co-dependent even if the VA girl does date her in the end

The Summer You Were There is the localized title. The original title doesn't mention summer at all.

Meh. I REALLY don't have any sympathy for her: if you yourself aren't sure enough about your feelings and don't have the gonads to face a possible rejection, why should the other party do it for you?
