ngl, they should have just stuck with the novel illustration art style. All the characters in the manga look and feel so generic, especially the Sphinx and Ant Queen, but also Isis to a lesser extent.
At least in the novel cover the Sphinx looks like something more than just the tanned slutty Onee-san that the manga portrays her as.

Yawn, another trash manga of the "person gets thrown away for having a shit power but is actually the strongest" sort. Really boring, generic junk. Doesn't even waste time to actually develop the background story, just goes from ostracism instantly to the point where the MC can do everything perfectly and has a spell for everything.

It's not even well drawn - the MC is supposed to be twelve? Aside from being short, he looks like your random generic 16-25 year-old anime dude.

He is 15-16 (the standard for manga). If you remember correctly his flashback stated "3 years ago".

Picked it up simply because it wasn't a school setting......
I don't expect anything after reading up to chapter 6 i will wait for 1-3 years to read it but before that i will check the forums and reviews to understand if i'm too old for this.

In other news: I expect stupid action, harem building without actually it being a harem more like a school fight for GOD LIKE MC without any real progress. 0 Brain or touch with complexity. Good job Japan, soon your men will naturally have vaginas, keep up the good work. The first ones to create men with female organs will be from herbivore men and aggressive tsundere girls.

Sorry for the rant but i somehow can stomach (but won't read) school setting infantile romance but not the medieval fantasy setting, my suspension of disbelief became less versatile with age.


FYI: Media that portrays male passivity is one of the causes why Japanese men are "herbivore". Any media you consume especially whilst young builds you up in one way or another. If you like it the more likely you will adopt elements of consumed media there is also counter to that if you don't like it you will do the opposite but then you will not watch/read tha type of media.

Nothing wrong with power fantasies and overused themes and tropes, but this is just lazy, braindead writing.

Has anyone told these authors that the appeal of these kinds of stories is the nation/kingdom building part of the story? The MC's struggle to figure out his abilities as he works to befriend the locals to initially survive? You know, the rising from the ashes part?

Power fantasy authors truly are something else. It's almost like they're physiologically incapable of understanding the tropes, concepts and themes they're working into their stories.

If you're going to be this lazy at least be like the Solo Leveling guy and put in the effort into making top tier, full color art, and decent fight choreography, geez.
