Thank you for the chapter!
Although I'm a photographer, I was never interested in portrait photography, so reading a story about someone who seems primarily interested in photographing faces is really fun. Getting to see how Niina approaches her art and what she gets out of it gives me a chance to reflect on my own experiences.
For instance, going into a camera store and coming out wanting to cry is too relatable. Used equipment is the only way a beginner can get into photography. Buuuut while holding a real camera puts you in the headspace for photography and gives you more control of a shot, I disagree with her friend that phone cameras won't cut it. Phone cameras are a very accessible way to develop your personal artistic tastes and practice composition.
I'm keeping an eye out for the author to reveal how much they personally are interested in photography through the details they focus on. But for now I'm just here for a fun ride 😄
