Thank you for translating this its awesome and I'm surprised this premise doesn't occur more frequently honestly.
Though this begs the question while piloting her mech will the author just have her preserve the image of her ideal boyfriend and go stag, will some fujoshi nature pop up and the mech ends up becoming her interim yaoi boy trojan horse, or will she get so caught up in preserving the image and reputation of her perfect first love that a really weird quasi yuri route will magnificently appear. Also somehow I get the feeling that this will not be the last time Haruru has an awkward time dealing with her mech's lower gear.
