the only problem with this manga is inconsistency... from the content of the manga to the scanslation itself...

One of the first real romance manga I ever read. I loved it then, and I still do now. The fights are pretty good too.

This manga started off strong. Now that I look back to it, it was somewhat of a cliché, but nevertheless the delivery was there. I still recommend it since I really liked the characters, however I was disappointed about how it ended.

The very last volume was bad because it was rushed. The volumes before it were bad because the mangaka clearly started to run out of ideas.

This is why I think some mangaka are good at art, but have no business in writing. Just partner with someone who is actually capable of writing a good story...

Its surprising that a trash manga like this has such a high rating, it is laden with edgy backstories, over simplistic motivations and absolute zero character development. the bloody demon queen goes from a murderous edgelord to swooning buffoon within a chapter. The hero is just a caricature for a "hero".... and good god please remove the romance tag...romance isnt about forming a party and going through some convoluted plot developments together peppered with blush faces. Its really disappointing considering the strong premise it had...it feels like someone with good ideas suggested a premise to some monkey who took one class in writing. AWFULL 1/10

This is a really great read so far. The hero character and his goals are really interesting, and the demon queen is hilarious.
EDIT: Just finished reading this. The last 5-7 chapters are not that great and feel random. However, there is a sequel called Superior Cross that's a direct continuation, which is good because I thought this manga just got cancelled lol. I'll come back and make another edit after reading the sequel about whether it's worth reading.
