This chapter is full of some of the worst choices to possibly choose.
Author chooses to not punish the villains, then use some lazy forceful exposition to give the idea that they were punished without actually providing any satisfaction (and is in fact a very lazy way to dispose of them so they won't matter later on into the story), and then finishes it off with a confession interruption cliche. I probably felt my brain leaking out of my ear after that.
