@elefantine97 I know everybody is relating this to reality and trying to step in our MC's shoes but plot wise, I am having trouble seeing the structure.
Sex...well umm... I agree that it suited the mood at the time but I don't know where the climax in this series is supposed to be anymore. It seems mellow and cute and kinda ... NORMAL. Absolutely normal. The first date. The first this. The first that. Which would be fine...but...most romances revolve around the characters getting together and not after the fact. Usually when there is something after the fact, there are some high stakes that would split our two MCs apart. But nope. Nothing. Most of the conflict is from our protagonist being inexperienced, which I normally would be okay with but at this point, it feels like to continue what would otherwise be a oneshot, there has to be some forced drama.
Sex usually is the payoff for the kinds of series I read. Either that or officially "getting together" or officially getting married or SOMETHING. It helps readers have a goal to get to, which is very important in the story and it puts all the conflict into context. What is the climax going to be now? Some rival showing up that surpasses our MC in almost every way? Somebody's parent's splitting them up? Losing their memory? Some other cliched things that had no build up from the beginning? The only way this would work in my head would be for them to break up as the end game. But there was no hinting to this at the beginning. Dude...wow...this really fell flat for me.
Unless you tell me that later on something big, dramatic and absolutely abnormal for normal people happens to our main characters - that our mangaka actually handles well, I think I am dropping this.
