I love taking the concept of "90% of the region's crimes seem to happen in the vicinity of a master detective" and extrapolating it further into "if fate has decided someone is going to be a master detective, cases to solve will happen around them whether they want to be a detective or not"

This feels like if the mangaka said "What if Sherrif Evans became a detective instead of a gunslinger?". Cool to see him get another serialization after Bokuben at least.

A great detective mystery where the MC is a lovable goof putting on a suave facade, oblivious to the love triangle built around him, all without sacrificing the clever deductions? How kind of them to create a series to appeal to me in particular!

Those two are supposed to be disguised as men? I couldn't tell because of how blatantly girlish they look.

I wonder if his first love will appear in the story. We might need to open our eyes for a girl with short blonde hair who may work close to a detective

A sheriff in a western is NOT a detective in a mystery. I prefer mysteries to westerns.

Also, this feels like it'll be more romantic, which is my JAM.

the author of this was heavily inspired by the sheriff manga was my point, as in instead of every hot girl being a wanted felon every other chapter, the hot girl is a killer every other chapter. Both have flashbacks to the dad giving advice, how to be a man and get laid for the sheriff, and for this it’s generic detective advice I guess. Also the first few pages were literally a ripoff of the first few pages of sheriff evans Etc. This might have more romantic potential though so fair enough, you do you

Man who's only ever seen Boss Baby watching any other movie: "Getting some real Boss Baby vibes from this."

Yeah, the premise of "romantic in the wrong genre and getting stuck with doomed romance" is the same, but that's it. You can't judge every other chapter of this manga based on a single chapter. It's not weird for a flashback to a formative moment in the MC's life appearing in the introductory chapter of ANY manga. And if you think the first few pages of this are a ripoff of Sheriff Evans, get glasses.

Sheriff Evans isn't "this but more funny", it's "a similar premise, but a western instead of mystery."
