Those prices are culture shock. That much skirt steak would probably cost double in America. Last time I looked, it was $16/lb at my grocer! (Thanks, Trump Tariffs) Then the next most expensive item on the menu, the pear with burrata, is overpriced. Sure you have to import the burrata cheese from Italy, but pears are cheap here.

The portions in Japan are smaller than compared to the ones in America though. It is admittedly a decent amount of steak, looks like it's a quarter pound steak (or maybe around 200 g)

I know the pain of wanting to try everything, but having to eat the whole plate by my lonesome self.

I wouldn't mind skirt steak it was cooked all the way I know ppl say anything more than medium rare is "blasphemyy" but my stomach gets ill if there's raw meat lol (can handle egg yolks fine but still want the whites cooked even if the yolk is runny)

For a "lady" that might be a lot but with rice seems about average portion you'd see at an American place lol altho be nice if the maid joined her at some point if not also her family being involved too tho after some point that's on her for not joining in lol

It'd prolly be higher as wagyu or a sit down restaurant you Need a reservation for then again I can imagine it being pricey ordering a handful of dishes if this place is meant to go in a group and split the bill versus one rich friend treating you lol

As an Italian, I think importing burrata is counterproductive: burrata must be eaten as fresh as possible, no more than two days. After, it starts to get acidic.
You would get a much better product from a local cheesemaker...
