After reading WN, I was surprised when I learned that Willhelm wasn't reincarnated, and rather it was a plot that he and his family planned for years. But no, instead we get the typical reincarnated antagonist to these "I reincarnated as the villain" stories where the supposed hero of the story is turned into a vain, selfish, arrogant jerk who expects that everything has to go just right as it did in the story so they can have everything they want and that the "villain" trying to fix things doesn't deserve it.

Because why do something original when you can do exactly the same story as everyone else?
