Remind me... if he has children with anyone else he creates a super virus that destroys humanity, yeah? If so, why wouldn't the mission of the time traveler be to simply kill him and eliminate that possibility entirely?

Don't remember the details that clearly, but I'd say he's actually his son from the future.

I thought it was explained that his faction did not want to take a life unless absolutely necessary. I could be mis-remembering. It's been forever since I began reading this and I don't really have the drive to go back to check.

@kwijo turns out the disease that nearly killed humanity wasn't the one that came from him. His only woke up superpowers in people, had pretty low death ratio and nearly disappeare a month after it started spreading. THe one that nearly wiped out humanity was a variant made in laboratory using his own as basis. The death rate was an accident this strain was originally created to increase the chance of giving powers to people. But instead it increased it's lethality. This was explained 5-10 chapters ago when Marioneter's ally tried convincing the mc's to cooperate with her. Meaning, there was no need to stop the MC in the first place as he was not the one behind the apocalypse. Sure you could potentially stop everything by killing him anyway, but that would be an excess.

@BloodySorcerer -- Ah, thx. In that case, yeah, I'd just kill him and incinerate his body. Done and guaranteed.

I pondered the idea that the time traveler is his descendant, but the issue of paradox rears its head again. If he comes from this future that means he's a descendent of our MC with another woman. Exactly what he's trying to prevent. He'd be erasing himself. So, if he stops this from happening, he ceases to ever have existed. If he never exists, he can never stop it. Circular paradox. An almost identical paradox exists even if he isn't the decedent, but whatever.

Yeah, thinking too hard about it anyway. Real reason is that it is a roughed out plot device to serve as a framework for the ecchi. :)

@Kwijo Look Like I expressed myself wrong, his disease" wasn't" a disease, it was pretty much the X-men's mutant gene. The real disease came from a laboratory that decided to use his genes to create a potent power giving drug, but that thing became a lethal disease instead. if anything instead of the MC, you'd just have to go back in time and destroy the lab, to stop the almost apocalypse from happening. At the same time power users would still exist but with almost zero negative impact to society
