@HauntedPizza Even with romances that aren't comedy, there's a big range between the ones that basically focus on conflict, plot and angst, with things like triangles, past traumas making people reluctant to try romance again, fears and feelings of unworthiness and misunderstandings--and the ones that focus more on the positive fluffy moments of happiness with a lot less plot, conflict and drama. Traditionally it's believed that to make a good story you need conflict, but it turns out a lot of people (myself included) are fine reading romances with very little traditional conflict-driven plot, just to see cute romantic moments that warm the heart.
And of course if everyone involved in those moments is a cute girl, that's an extra bonus.
