In the reality we live in, yes..I feel like there's a greater purpose towards pairing the court ladies together.
What is the significance of being a court lady to Cordelia? She seems like someone overly concerned with her own self and her status over what the position actually entails. Someone with no loyalty to anyone but herself.
Is that really someone you want to have in your court, if you're a ruler?
If she is that concerned for her own well being, she will make very less trouble as long as the job benefit her, so yes. In reality, what MC do is a privilige for people with power (or people daring enough to not care about the consequence).I feel like there's a greater purpose towards pairing the court ladies together.

definitely yeah, Cordelia's criticism only really holds up in her own head where MC is probably nothing but a spoiled nepo baby with more luck than sense.Well, there's a difference between having skill and not having skill. If our heroine had only thought she knew how to do it and had failed because she had an inflated idea of her own skill, then she would have merited chewing out. But she was skilled and her self-assessment was accurate--it's stupid to say "Well you shouldn't have done that because if you weren't as good as you actually are, it could have gone badly!"
Just because Cordelia didn't know she was that good until she, like, proved she was, doesn't mean anything.
Also, she's a self-centred jerk.
This reminds me of a very early episode of The Simpsons, where Homer tells one of the kids "Well, you tried your best, and you failed miserably. The moral is, never try."I agree to some sentiments here, she is not a senior/senpai for nothing. MC didn't have a backup plan if she fails, she only has her confidence and skills but not everything will always go to your way every time.
I would say Cordellia resents Teresse to some extent as... she will outrank almost anyone she'd be serving under and anyone looking into her circumstances from the outside would be wondering why she is even here. I imagine Cordellia has convinced herself to extra hard on her as she'd be doing it on easy mode as not many would be as hard on her as if she wasnt the sister of the queen. Either impress upon the social standing of a court lady or have her quit and return being a high noble.definitely yeah, Cordelia's criticism only really holds up in her own head where MC is probably nothing but a spoiled nepo baby with more luck than sense.
And not, you know, a woman with actual skills and capabilities to make her own decisions. Like MC would not have made that offer if she didn't know she could at least decently fix the hole! She even asked the countess if she would be fine with the scarf fixed, but somewhat visibly damaged. The countess made a choice here too!
