So going after a highschooler and also threatening her with taking away her father's pension. Just plains gross. Also the age and huge power imbalance. Why would any person find this okay?

Wow, this guy is such a generic Shoujo hero, let's see good looking, rich, terrible personality, madly in love with the heroine. Yep, he certainly ticks all the right boxes, to be fair this is a comedy and does poke fun at a lot of well used tropes.
