The plan is interesting, but since they are worried about the common soldiers just eating it, rather than delivering if it's too appetizing, why don't they consider the opposite? Meaning that they'll just throw it away if it's seemingly disgusting. It's just a big assumption that they'll even bother brining her anything from the outside one way or the other.

Honestly it’s disappointing that this story went in this direction. It was a fun series in many ways but this entire war arc just doesn’t hit the same at all.

They literally just launched a rock at their foretress and stormed it. From their perspective, there really is no reason for the war other than the other side is aggressive for land.

Chemical weapons? As in mustard gas? While I admire your dedication to wreaking untold horror on a bronze age civilization, that's a risky thing to use outside of getting it into trenches. Easily a double edged sword.

That would certainly affect morale and probaly make a lot of them flee the fortifications, so yeah it's an advantage but you'd still have an all out fight on your hands. Also, given how the gas works, it would be more humanitarian to just blow them all up...
