Guess you missed all the small talks throughout the series of how even before she met Kazura, her parents was pushing for Issac as a potential suitor. He even gave her a bouquet that one time, showing that he was in fact pursuing that romance, and all parties knew what the intent was, especially when Lieze is already considered to be of marriageable age in their world, hence why she's been having all those meetings/interviews with nobles, noble sons, and rich merchants.

Furthermore, she doesn't have a responsibility to tell him for the same reason.
With her being a noble lord's daughter, and him a noble's son and all, duties and responsibilities get tricky.

The translator's comparison also goes flat. Sending an e-mail/text to someone means you're directly telling them how you feel about this. Lieze managed to convey her position without even confronting Isaac.

r/whoosh.
I think you need to start getting out more into the real world, as I don't think you understand what direct and indirect means.
Direct would be going up to him in person and saying something to him along the lines of "Look, I know how you feel about me, but I'm not into you" or "I have someone else I like". Indirect would be the easy way out and sending a photo via phone/internet of her with another man, without having to say a single word or even look him in the eye. When I said text, I was talking about MMS, not SMS.

I probably did miss or forget about that. Tends to happen to me when it's been a while since I read something. The bouquet does change things. Knowing this, I do believe she should've told him directly.

On the matter of direct vs indirect:
Not sure what MMS is, but I know of SMS. I figured with the example you wrote in the chapter you were implying she'd be telling him, either by text, call or email, that she's not interested. Not simply sending an image of holding hands with someone else. The latter would indeed be like what happened here. Except that with a text/call/email, it's obvious who the recipient is. The way it was handled in the chapter makes that aspect less obvious. Making the handling of this less direct.

The thing about photo sharing is that it's possible to send it to group of people if you want with "group messaging". Some retailers also use MMS to send customers coupons en mass. With a phone call, you can also talk to a group of people as well (think conference calls). Goes without saying that you can add multiple recipients at the same time with an email, using CC in the address. And obviously, posting on social media sends it to the whole world, where your friends/followers would be the first to know. In other words: it's possible to send something to multiple people at once, instead of just a single person, using any of the services that I mentioned.

MMS stands for Multimedia Messaging Service, used for sending pictures and video, or pictures/video plus text at the same time, such as with a caption...but with fewer characters. While on the other hand SMS is Short Message Service, allows for slightly longer messages. Twitter was first based off on this SMS/MMS connection before internet became more mainstream, which is where their use of limited characters originated from.

MMS/SMS uses the same technology/service plan, all in the same "Messaging" App... Meaning: to send a "text" means either an MMS or SMS. Usually costs less than having an internet data plan and would be more common in the west, which is why I used that example, as it'd be more familiar to people in North America. Conversely in Japan, if you send a "mail" they're almost always talking about email exclusively because it's the opposite situation over there where mobile internet is cheaper than carrier network plans. Trivia: More often than not, anime localization dubs/subs will swap any mention of a Japanese "mail" (email), with "text" (SMS/MMS) because that's what people would be more used to, in North America at least.

I did read ahead on the novel, but at this point i am also speculating since we reached the part where I read ahead to.
Aside from a small interest kazura doesnt seem particularly interested in forming a relationship beyond bussiness with the feudal lord and his family.

Im assuming the moment its made clear to him what that bracelet means it will shock him and make him regret accepting it.

@Harry_Dong
Yeah the whole part of pushing Issac and Lieze together was an introduction point for both characters that people seem to forget, and Isaac seems genuinly in love with her, which must have been such a strong punch in the gut for him.

Also regardless of who kazura chooses without finding a way to make his stay permanent (the nutrition issues) or being able to get them into the portal (the catastrophic effects on earth from a disease, parasite or weed hitching a ride would be terrifying.) Kazura just might end up like his dad did and just going back home after having an adventure or 2.

@boag I see. I still consider it a strong possibility that he'll end up with Lieze as well though, especially if it is explained to him that he can also take Valetta (even if it's just as a concubine/mistress/secondary wife). Because let's be honest here, as much as he doesn't WANT to stand out in this world... he does. And one of the best ways to protect himself from possible issues is tying himself closely to a powerful noble family, which the feudal lord definitely qualifies as. Of course, this is if he plans on settling here permanently, and doesn't figure out a way to bring anyone back to Japan with him.

Finally dome binging the series.

@boag I think you meant 4000 BC im your first reply cause 4000 AD is still a couple milleniums into the future,

@givemersspls Why should ypu care about real world history? This is a fictional world. As long as they're not jumping from stone to nuclear, it's fine by me and apparantly most of the readers.

Thats the thing, he cannot settle permanently, he cant survive long term without food from his world, and if there is a lack of nutrition from the food and everything, i dont even want to think what long term exposure to the air of that world will do to him.

Everything in that world seems to be lacking sufficient life sustaining qualities, but somehow they are enduring by being equally ravenous. Valleta not only getting a strenght boost but an intelligence boost from kazuras items seems to fit in with the logic of the story, so there is really no long term solution at the moment, nor any reason for him to set head with a family when he already got his objective of Valletas village not being harmed, which is the only reason he is hanging out with the noble house.

@givemersspls Fair enough, although I feel like the most talented of authors can somehow make a civilization without written language if you truly challenge them. I got no examples for it though so meh.

Wait... they don't have butter? I assumed this was placed within the Middle Ages or something around that era, but even they had butter during that period. That's kind of an odd thing for this world to lack...

@givemersspls not if iit is placed on dark ages, then the setting of this history will be alright, since from the fall of roman empire until renaissance a lot of things were lost, especially knowledge(technical [specially engineering, architecture, medicine and even toilets/baths), languages(writing system and common languages) as well as communication between nations.

@DANDAN_THE_DANDAN lack of writing system sound more like an early stage of civilization, like a transition from tribal shamanistic to a more structured society.

@boag you are right, he cannot survive without modern food, albeit many people demonize fertilization and vaccines, truth is that those increase quality and quantity of nutrients, just watch life expectancy only last 100 years, its not only thanks to medicine, prevention and sanitization but also improvement done to the food.

@givermersspls
they have a decently medieval-looking society
honestly from what we have seen they are very much in the early bronze age, the armor they wear is leather, the clothing they wear doesnt seem well tailored, they dont have huge structures or maintained roads, their weapons ..... ok ill give you that one.
level of organization of the kingdom
aristocratic families are not an invention of the mediaval ages, i would posite that this is early bronze age, not medieval.

@Wizardrone
given with how they quickly changed tunes when Kazura proved his "divinity" iw ould agree that they are still very early in their sociatal evolution.

These people like baubles it seems.

1. Water bucket.
2. Drop glass magma into water bucket (they already have everything needed).
3. St. Whatever's Tears, wrapped in a jewelry covering its single failure point of stress.
4. Infinite marbles = infinite profit!
