I don't share that sentiment for all romcoms tbh but this one feels quiet childish to be extending it.Considering the novel goes well past this, I wouldn't call it stretching.
Why do people want romcoms/romance stories to end as soon as the couple gets together? That always seems like such a waste of time, since the whole point is their relationship.
It's like ordering dinner at a restaurant then leaving as soon as you finish the appetizer.
It does make sense it will continue after you mentioned the LN though. I just have seen a couple of this romcoms exploring their relationship (like you said) and going absolutely awful downhill. So curious about this one.
