Thank you Hachimitsu Scans! Thank you so much!! I remember reading this a long time ago but being able to read it to its conclusion left me happy and sad at the same time. I hope this gets a sequel but probably won't happen.

@Danimal696 Well, there's Silver Spoon. It's similar in that it's (1) set at an agricultural college, and (2) good and pretty funny. Not as many sexy girls though. Oddly, it's by the mangaka of Fullmetal Alchemist.

I started this manga because of the Crossdressing tag like the degenerate that I am, and ended up with valuable information about microbes? Fermentation? Beer? France? Things that I’ll probably forget in a hurry. Guised behind the agriculture premise is a college slice-of-life that tackles a lot of the world’s problems, while being informative, hilarious and heartwarming at the same time. Well-paced and wordy, this manga is to be read and enjoyed slowly and never fails to be interesting from start to end.

Even leaving all the informations about agriculture and fermentation asides, this is still a manga with an amazing and diverse cast of characters, thrilling and fulfilling drama arcs, unique and attractive art, Kei, as well as the various topics this manga debate about, there is never a dull moment reading it. One of the few mangas where the ending left a distaste in my mouth due to how good it was.

Coming back to this manga and thank you Hachimitsu Scans so much for carrying this work on its back. This manga is truly a strange case - there's a detailed review on MyAnimeList that really says it the best. I think most people are interested in Moyashimon for two things (the crossdressing tag and BL tease) but don't get your hopes up because like the manga's plot and premise, they're all half-assed, wasted potential and covers for the mangaka's fetish of fermentation. I mean, its name is "Tales of Argiculture" yet it's more about fermentation and the sake industry than ANYTHING else. There are two translated yaoi doujinshis about this by all over the place. that are simply amazing and if you can delude yourself into thinking they're canon then it would honestly make the overall story much more fulfilling and meaningful. Everything about my previous comment still stands, you can only know what a frustrating masterpiece Moyashimon is if you read it and there will never be another manga quite like it

This is slow, I mean... REALLY slow, I feel like the story only picked up in the end, but strangely enough... I am satisfied.

I would love to have more, but at the same time, I am completely fine with how this ended.

The characters are douches, a little bit of assholes sometimes, creeps too some of them, and moody, but it is so fun to see these disasters step by step maturing.

I don't think this is for everyone, on account of the rhythm, but if you feel you can give this a slow read, I think that I can say with confidence this will grow on you.

I am happy that I read this.
