Everything he has achieved so far, and in his past life, was due to a purely coincidental encounter. Then if we consider luck to be a part of a cultivators abilities, Long Yuyin is completely justified to look down on others because she was born into a strong family, by luck.

Nie Li is playing with a stacked deck, so people are going to talk shit about him, because in any logical universe he should not be doing the things he does. He will always be the underdog, despite having way more advantages than even the biggest families in the series.

@AlexCrimson sure Nie li lucked out on getting the temporal demon spirit book whatever thing allowing him to go back in time. But saying that undermines how much effort and determination he had to survive until that point in his previous life.

Theres a difference between Nie Li worked to get his second chance and in turn making him more powerful than his peers. This girl on the other hand just so happened to be lucky and get born into a rich family. They didnt work for that outcome yet they have the idea that they're inherently better than their peers because of that.

After all these years, I am still not convinced if it would be ok for her to join the harem. So I am with Nie Li in this case, who is just as well against it. :-D

First you are rambling about how Nie Li is lucky and how that is a bad thing then praise Long Yuyin for being lucky enough to be born into a rich family. Double standards much? Please do not be like the antagonists in this manhua. :-D

The only thing Nie Li lucked upon is the original book that allowed him to restart and the things related to this story plot.
All the other upgrades are experiences from his previous past life, starting from the herbs he sold early in the story or the merging pot he bought at the auction house from the money he got for them... up to the fruits he will get in like 100ish chapter or so that will allow him to [REDACTED].
And this knowledge on how to use these items are more valuable than the event of getting them. If you don't know what to do with money, what use does it have?

@Zenomas Iirc she does put in effort and she is indeed good among his peers, meaning she is using her resources well and not wasting them like a typical antagonist. What Nie Li does not like about her and what is generally not likeable about her is that she can not recognize other's efforts and she can not imagine that there could be someone who is putting in more effort than her. So basically she is just a spoiled brat, but not a rotten person. Yet. She would be later if not taught a lesson now. (Which Nie Li does not know, i mean he does not know that teaching her a lesson will change her entire life. :-D)

Which is why Nie Li [REDACTED] her will have such a huge impact on her in a few chapters. :-D
