Exactly! The downward spiral of typical clichéd shoujo storytelling continues with the FMC confiding her innermost romantic secrets about her crush with a 3rd wheel she just met and doesn't know from a hill of beans. How many times have we been subjected to that scenario??? What is it with these mangaka and their super-unrealistic plots? Who in their right mind would go blabbering to someone you just met about your love life? Especially if that person is of the opposite sex? Of course, the 3rd wheel will eventually decide that he wants to make the FMC his at all costs.

@FredFriendly, we could "blame" it on that she has been only with girls, from the beginning and up until high school, and did not have to deal with guys at all. What I mean is that she simply doesn't know the do's and don't of a co-ed world. she simply doesn't have that experience. that's a better start point in my book. It is still annoying though, but forgivable.

Normally I would agree, but Reo seems more like a wingman than a romantic rival. It looks like he's trying to set them up. Although you're right that he'll probably be used as a device to make Tamao realize his feelings through jealousy and maybe misunderstandings (although I'm not sure how they'll pull off a misunderstanding when Tamao keeps overhearing her talk to Reo about how much she likes him).

Edit: Just realized this chapter came out 3 months ago. Why did it appear when I searched "most recent" ? Does the search algorithm take into account other languages, even though I have my account set to only show English?

He doesn't seem like a wingman at all to me. As of chapter 5, more like a playboy who wants to toy with those who are less socially adept than himself. When Reo gets Kanoko alone, Tama will not know what's going on and, like typical shoujo plots, she won't tell him..

And I'm pretty sure Reo will try to "snatch" her, because he will find her more interesting than the sluts he has around him. It's a common trope.
