Insects don’t make yarn. Ito could mean yarn, string or thread; why have both the manga and WN translators picked the worst option?

For a second I got worried because its "tanaka" then I realised it is a common surname.

I like it, but I'm kinda lost. Like, did the original Stuart family die too? From food poisoning? They died at the same time, that how they "overlapped"? But since they seem to also have BOTH memories, when the little one talks about "forgetting about the bugs" while Emma was in bed after the food poisoning... Did the original William forget, not the reincarnated one?

I feel it's just an issue of cramming/skipping a bit too much in the manga compared to the novel...

I'm still waiting for the plot where they all know they're reincarnated but had been trying to keep it a secret from each other for many years.

How have I not read this plot before? How is this new to me? This should be an overused trope. How did I completely miss this?

How did poison mushrooms get past the chef food tasting and the food taster that noble families have?

Also, there is no way cats can cost as mmuc as a house or people would just breed them for easy money

It's quite interesting they were all so relatively old already in the previous life.

First page had me worried this may just be a quickly cancelled novel ad, but both the novel and the manga are still ongoing with currently 7 volumes released each.

Just found the (web? light?) novel translated to English. They skipped far too much in the opening manga chapter.
  • Before being reincarnated, the real Emma found the mushrooms. They looked like some sort of rare and delicious Japanese delicacy.

  • How the in-world Emma Stuart knew they were delicious in Japanese cuisine wasn't explained, so I'll suspend that next to my disbelief.

  • She cooked them for herself. She was unconscious for 10 days while the rest of the family was only down for a short time because they only sampled a small amount. The novel noted that she ate the lion's share.

  • Emma Stuart was a weirdo even before Minata reincarnated into her body, so I figure the kitchen staff said, "Whatever" the she decided to cook up something foul.

  • As for poison testers, it doesn't seem anybody in the world is hung up about that. Real-world Japanese "peace disease," I guess.

  • in the novel, after she wakes up, she first talks to Heita/William. Little bro is relieved "somebody else was also reincarnated," so she knew he didn't tell anybody else.

  • And, if other people were also reincarnated, they might be keeping that to themselves as well.

  • Unlike her, who woke up as Mina trying to integrate Emma's memories, William gradually remembered his previous life as Heita, so he was able to keep up the act during the time she was out.

  • So, Mina realized shouting "ROLL CALL!" at the first dinner after she recovered would be the fastest was to confirm with everybody, to everybody all at once.
