The only problem I have with this manga is how odd the female characters' head are proportioned.
I think I am used to a lot of mangas and anime using sharp angles even in the series that tried to be realistic/close to real life with how the characters were designed.

Also, screw that president. If the truth comes to light, his career is over. Possible a guaranteed loss for his political party, too. He knows that. That's why he's trying to make Japan shut up. I hope they see through his ruse. American voters most likely would not side him with if they know what has been going on behind closed doors.
Another thing is: this might be foreshadowing that the monster at the beginning is still alive. Those torpedoes might not have killed it completely. And who knows how many more of the baby ones came back to live. What other creatures could have preyed on these monsters?
