She would need to be married to a Prince to even have a chance of interfering, Duke rank is normally reserved for members of the Royal Family not part of the King's direct family.

I kinda want the opposite. Have his sister or someone he knows basically ne the big boss in underworld where even the king doesn't want to mess with them.

And Carlo is basically the middle man, the neutral and impartial host, helping keep balance and mediate between both sides because he's nice and chill guy who does not discriminate.

At which point between having to face 'the organization' vs one ducal son having an 'unfortunate accident', the king would most certainly prefers the latter especially if that ducal son will just be a repeat offender.

Why is a duke visiting commoner businesses and going around with a single escort if that is his attitude? At that rank, he should be able to hire great chefs, travel, probably has great venues built under orders of his family, etc. Him having a single escort is also really questionable, especially with that attitude. Yeah, some people are superhuman in this world, but at that rank, you have enemies. Other blood relations that want that rank for themselves and he doesn't seem the type to have too many real friends.
