Honestly that might be for the better, this manga has gotten worse lately. In this chapter, Naofumi is anything but a hero, he's plain stupid at this point. Like, it was said in previous chapters that the audience could help and you're surprised that there are mages buffing your enemies and debuffing you? The fight was already unfair and you're surprised that they pulled this extra match to take you down? Really, you went through so much, you should know by this point, it's just not good writing...

I think cheating in the match being allowed and straight up nullifying a match because you lost are two different things. The former is the "rule" in the coliseum, the latter is violating the rule of the coliseum (winning a match consists as winning) itself.

Well it was said stuff could be bought, he wasn't as surprised in the LN as much as bothered, because Sadeena told them about the mages as they were "fake fighting" before they "beat" her.

Right, manga taking liberties...LN worded it like this, 1 it wasn't they lost, they won, but then they did a "poll" and asked the ppl if they would want an "extra" match as "entertainment" and with the people being able to get their money back free and bet if they wanted or just leave with it, it was too big of an incentive, so it was just an "added" match, not really nullifying the other one.

I hated that while the match was good and maybe a bit rushed, maybe they cut stuff here too? I would need to check, but thing is, they didn't include "Pierrot" telling them that "they are too weak" and when Naofumi explains that they are weaker because they were cursed, she said, "It's still not enough, you guys have to get stronger or you won't survive what is going to come." setting up stuff for the next volume DX
