I mean, that's kind of how it works in real life, too. If you saw a small boy dice a metal pole, it would honestly be more likely that it was weakened beforehand. There was absolutely no way he could have known any of the things we do.

The only two idiotic things that examiner did was a) not allowing a re-do to make certain (which is understandable since there are a lot of other applicants) and b) not considering the boy could be the protagonist.

@Iangabriel2006 What I don't like is when Other characters just simply admit without any concrete reason that the MC is incapable just because of his looks and don't even think a second before admitting he is useless. In this situation it is even more ridiculous, because to have sections cut so cleanly you would have to cut it all the way through, if it was "brittle" like the useless examiner said it would have been smashed into pieces(With this in mind I wonder how did the examiner even became a soldier, because he does not have the minimum knowledge of what the difference between smashing and cutting is).
