Ahh yes... the classic unnecessary drama trope from the author out of nowhere, there was absolutely no reason to lie about what happened with him and the black haired girl, all he had to do was just tell tell the truth and let her handle it, all this just for the sake of added drama and of course you have to throw in the classic "he's the first guy that turned me down, now I have feelings for him" shit, like this really makes me contemplate dropping this, just lazy writing on the authors part.
